Baptism

In the New Testament church, upon believing in Jesus, individuals willingly turned from sin through repentance and publicly confessed Christ as Lord. They then underwent baptism for the forgiveness of their sins and to receive the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit.

Similarly, at Hikes Point Christian Church, baptism by immersion is a pivotal component of embracing Christ for salvation. Baptism serves as a beautiful representation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, allowing us to identify with Him by symbolically dying to our old selves and rising to a new life.
